Members of Grace House celebrating victory for winning inter-house athletics competition

Grace House

• This is one of the only two girls’ Houses (dormitories) at King’s College Budo.
• This Great House was built by the last white Head teacher , as Ian Robinson in the 1960s and in the 80s Mr.S.K.Busulwa extended it to where it is presently.
• Therefore it is one of the modern Houses on the Hill.
• Grace House is named after one of the most prominent Headmasters of Budo , Rev.Candy Grace commonly referred to as “The second founder of King’s College Budo”.
• Candy Grace was a revolutionary man at the time and a very strong advocate of gender equity.This is seen in the way he engineered the idea of making Budo the first Co-educational secondary school in Uganda.
The current state of Grace House.

Grace has the following girls’ population;

S1=41, S2=24, S3=28, S4=26, S5=37, S6=18
The House mistresses of Grace House include;

The Grace Anthem which has motivated the girls towards higher levels is as follows;
In the midst of nine Grace stands proud
To be none other than the best
It’s true, plain voice out loud
She is working hard and will not rest.

To mold each girl into a lady
To aim and excel in academics,
And to the great world of sports
Her goal, her target and her dream.

In the midst of nine Grace stands proud
To be none other than the best
It’s true, plain voice out loud
She is working hard and will not rest.

The Grace House MOTTO is “By God’s Grace we prevail’
This means that, Grace members try to be their best do their best and God’s Grace does the rest

"Gakyali Mabaga"

Over the years King's College Budo, true to its founders' vision, has recognised excellent performance in different fields; games and sports, agriculture, academics, being helpful, music and drama, debate, etc.

This recognition culminates in our cherished annual prize giving ceremonies. We have gone a step further by recognising excellent contribution by our former students, by awarding them the prestigious Budo ORDER OF MERIT.”

King's College Budo's vision is “To be the hub for the best informed global co-education with a christian influence” and our mission is “to provide quality education through networking & teamwork in order to address global trends ”

At Budo we aim at teaching our students the root values of integrity, honesty, niceness & hard work other than the fruit values of power, prestige & prosperity. "Headmaster
